The United States of America experienced a severe down in its economy during the Great Recession, defined from December 2007 to June 2009. According to the investigations of The New York Times, during the fourth quarter of 2010, U.S Gross Domestic Product grew at a 3.2 percent rate from 2.6 percent in the last quarter of 2009. Because of this, the nation's overall economic output has finally matched its peak before the recession (N.Y.T, 2011).
